Blog Journal #9

  This semester, I was a distance learner. Aside from this course, I had three other online courses, and one course in person. Due to the fact that I had one class in person, I am able to draw conclusions about the differences between online and in-person classes this semester. Personally, I really enjoy distance learning. I never had any online classes prior to COVID, but now, I actually find them more accommodating than in-person classes. I enjoy the flexibility of distance learning, and the ability to be able to work at your own pace, within reason. Something I dislike about distance learning is the accountability that you have to have over yourself to stay on track. Sometimes, if my life gets very busy, I do not sit down and watch lecture videos on the schedule I like to follow. With the flexibility of distance learning, also comes great accountability and responsibility that one must uphold for themselves. Blog Journal #8

  During the Web Design Assignment, I learned many things! I had never used “Weebly” before, so figuring out how to use the site building tool was a learning curve, but once I got it, it was easy! Additionally, I learned lots about how to embed things within a website. The term “embedding” seemed a lot scarier than the actual task was! I liked being able to learn how to build a website because I think it's a useful task. I also enjoyed making the website created for the students. Although I really enjoyed this assignment, the only thing I could see that would make it better would be to use a different site than Weebly, as I thought Weebly seemed a bit dated. I think that Diigo is a great resource for being able to share information and connect with others. I like how collaborative Diigo is, and I enjoyed learning how to post articles, annotate articles, and comment on others' p
